Conception Vessel 3, also known as Ren 3, Abbreviated as CV 3, Transliterated Zhongji in Chinese, Middle Extremity in English.

CV 3 Acupuncture Point Location:

Location:  On the anterior median line of the lower abdomen, 4 cun below the umbilicus.

CV 3 Acupuncture Point Indications:

  • Enuresis, dysuria
  • Spermatorrhea, impotence
  • Irregular menstruation, metrorrhagia, leukorrhea, prolapse of the uterus, infertility
  • Hernia

Notes: 

Front-Mu points can be used to treat diseases of the affected Zang-Fu organ, and those of Yang meridians and collaterals. They treat diseases of Six Fu-organs and diseases of yang meridians. An adverse reaction when a Front-Mu point is pressed can help make a diagnosis.
