GB 34 Acupuncture Point

Gallbladder 34, Abbreviated as GB 34, Transliterated Yanglingquan in Chinese, Yang Mound Spring in English.

GB 34 Acupuncture Point Location:

On the lateral aspect of the lower leg, in the depression anterior and inferior to the head of the fibula.

GB 34 Acupuncture Point Indications:

  • Hemiplegia, pain of the shoulder, weakness, numbness and pain of the lower extremities, swelling and pain of the knee, beriberi
  • Pain in the hypochondrium, bitter taste in the mouth, vomiting, jaundice
  • Infantile convulsion

GB 34 Acupuncture Point Benefits:

Benefits the sinews and joints, activates the meridian, moves Liver Qi, harmonizes the Shaoyang, relieves pain.

Notes: 

GB 34 is a very good point to move Liver Qi and to treat anything related to the sinews. He-Sea points are where the qi of the meridian collects and goes deep into the body. He-sea points are known to indicated treat rebellious qi and diarrhea.
